Finding Role Models with Bipolar Disorder

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a role model with bipolar disorder?

When I was newly diagnosed with bipolar 2, nobody told me, "Here’s what you’re going to have to deal with and here are some ideas to handle it." To be honest, I think most of us are left swinging in the wind.

As I became more educated about my illness and engaged with the mental health community on-and-offline, I started coming into contact with regular people who had bipolar disorder and was more aware of celebrities who came out about having bipolar. Both of these groups have been instrumental in helping me cope with bipolar 2 disorder and the issues that surround it. So that’s what the video is about.
