Taking Bipolar Medications Isn't Crazy

"What?! You're taking bipolar medications. Are you crazy?"

I know you've heard something like this before; where people try and make you feel bad about taking medications for bipolar disorder or any other mental health condition.

These people try and make you feel weak because you have to take medication to help you function better or stupid because you take them at all.

Over the years, I have learned that strong individuals confront their diagnosis and utilize the resources available to them, that includes bipolar medications.

Have people made you feel insecure or weak because you take medication for bipolar disorder or another mental illness? How has that affected you and what are you doing to cope with that? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
