Group therapy is a form of psychosocial treatment in which a small group of patients meet regularly with a therapist to talk, interact, and discuss current problems with one another.

Each individual responds to treatment differently, some do better in group therapy than others. However the results are usually overwhelmingly positive for those involved in well facilitated group. If someone is seeking therapy, this can be an effective option, especially for those recovering from a traumatic event. It can be very helpful to hear other peoples perspectives so that the individual doesn't feel alone.
