My question to my Anxiety I have generalized Anxiety and Borderline Personality is why am I so angry all the time when I cant figure out how to help myself or let others help me with problem solving things in my personal life my banking my relationships,i never give therapy a chance I took anger management it helped a few yrs now Im almost 50 and moods are changing

I still have a question that I think I already asked some time ago but I can't remember the answer. What if my anxiety is coming only in "physical symptoms"? Why do panic attacks happen so frequently even if I feel calm and happy? If not a panic attack, it's at least symptoms like feeling breathless or shaking? The mind is quiet...
Some people call these kinesthetic flashback. Be glad your mind doesn't go, too. If you don't worry about them, then are they a problem? If you do worry about them, what are you worried about? xo
I'm not worried about them at all but it's VERY disturbing. I didn't mention everything...
Disturbing is what makes it a problem. That's what I was looking for. So your mind is involved (these events are upsetting) and can be address too. (As you are doing.) xoxox
Because anxiety wears you down like water to a rock. Soon no strength left to fight everyday
The anxiety wants you to think that you are powerless. The trick to combat it is to find where you are powerful.
My anxiety has gotton worse with age. I am 61. I watched my mother go through the same thing but with different triggers. She was more bitter, but I am "fed up" with most things. It seems that I feel I am owed something because I am older. the thing is that I realize that, but can`t control it.
Hmmm, Bob, sometimes inflexibility makes anxiety more powerful. Mayeb you have everything you need except flexibility. You can control it, the anxiety makes you think you can't. You control tons of things, you just have a belief that you can't control this. It blocks you. Shift is small ways and then bigger will happen.
I used to embrace change in the workplace, but now I see change as another thing to complain about. I am retiring at the end of the year, but I am afraid that inflexibility may continue to follow me.
Good thing you have the power to change it. Don't let Anxiety make you forget that you do!
Anxiety has been a part of my life from the time I was born. I do not know what life is like without anxiety. I wish for 1 day with no anxiety, so I know what it feels like to be normal.
Mary, was there ever a moment, even a second that you felt free or laughed or had some fun and forgot you were anxious? Just curious? If so, then you can extend it.
I am in no way a professional and have not lived with anxiety at all times, but I certainly have had my many moments in life with anxiety. Something I use that has helped me (and others) is ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response). You can Google it to learn more and the main tool I use is ASMR videos on youtube. They can really help to calm me down.

FAbulous questions Jodi -- definitely would help reframe how I look at anxiety if only because it takes my thinking off -- I'm feeling anxious -- to, what is it about what's happening that is causing me to believe I'm helpless, or unable, or too small or weak or whatever to not handle it.

Anxiety I feel is hard often to pinpoint when trying to find the exact causes. Your levels of anxiety may rise as it directly relates to the amount of stress we put on ourselves. We set such high expectations for ourselves today and much of this is driven by our cultures need to focus on achieving more, doing more, being better, performing at higher levels. We need to be gentle with ourselves and remember that we are not capable of always performing at 100% all the time. As long as we do our very best each day and learn to not shame or judge ourselves for not being perfect, we start to see our anxiety often decrease.
Amen to that!
