Dr. Fieve is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. He is internationally known as the psychopharmacologist who pioneered the use of lithium in the United States to treat bipolar disorder. He has published close to 300 scientific papers and is the author of the bestselling book Moodswing, Prozac, Bipolar II, and the recently published Bipolar Breakthrough.
Dr. Fieve holds private practice in New York City at the Fieve's Depression Center. He specializes in the treatment of Mood Disorders including Clinical Depression, Bipolar I and II Disorders (also known as Manic Depression), and General Anxiety Disorders. He also specializes in the differential diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
